An Evening with Herbalist Phyllis D. Light
September 24, Wednesday
5:30-7:30 pm at the MS Modern Homestead Center
Cost ~ $40

Phyllis D. Light, a fourth-generation Herbalist and Healer from northern Alabama, has spent over 30 years working with plant medicine. She is one of the rare herbal elders in the US with direct, familial lineage that is teaching and practicing in the US today. She is known to merge scientific research with traditional practices to round out her work and approach to health and healing.

She will join us in Starkville, MS at the Homestead Center to talk about American Herbalism and Appalachian folk medicine. The discussion will focus on the basics of plant energetics and key aspects of Appalachian folk medicine tradition, while high-lighting certain southern plant allies. Plan to walk away with new insight and inspiration about personal and community wellness.
