Our organization defines Homesteading as the ability to improve your own health, home, and community through intentional living. We do this by connecting through community. None of us has every tool we need to claim healthy, happier lives, but we can all learn and share a piece of that puzzle we call "The Good Life."
Join us for Homestead Days and find out which pieces appeal to you and your family. There will be 45-minute sessions throughout the day in the areas of Animals & Gardening, Around the Home, and Holistic Parenting Support. Bring cash to buy from vendors or pack a lunch and picnic!
Homestead Day is included with the $9.95/family Local Membership to the Homestead Education Center. Anyone is welcome to join!
All others are invited to attend for $5/person.
WHAT ABOUT KIDS?
If your child has an interest in the topic, they are welcome to attend the presentation. Otherwise, pair up with a friend or family member to take turns watching the kiddos while you alternate listening to presenters. There is a play area in front of the Homestead, as well as a zip line and sand area. An adult will need to stay with the children.
WHAT TO BRING
*Cash, water, food
The Homestead is a lovely place! If you're staying for the day, feel free to pack a lunch and setup a picnic complete with blankets and lawn chairs. Bring cash so that you can snack on crackers from the Grain Elevator, take home some goat milk soap or purchase fruit trees. There will be fresh tacos and water bottles on hand, but quantities are limited.
