Come learn about locally available natural birth, pregnancy, and parenting resources. Drop in on one session or stay for the day! Babies are welcome.

10AM - DOULA MEET & GREET
A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible. Meet some of the doulas servicing the Golden Triangle and learn about the services they provide.

11AM - MIDWIFERY CARE
Toni Hill is a direct-entry midwife serving North Mississippi with traditional home births through Blooming Moon Midwifery. Her services include prenatal care, home birth, water birth, breastfeeding support, well woman care, and yoni steaming. https://www.tupelomidwife.com/

12PM - POST-PARTUM CARE
Stacey Herrin is a birth and postpartum doula serving in NE Mississippi near Starkville. She'll discuss supporting families during the adjustments of the fourth trimester.

Mary Beth Ketchum is a licensed professional counselor from the area and will be discussing postpartum depression and the role therapy can play in it. Information will be available on pelvic floor physical therapist and how they can help with the changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

1PM - CHILDBIRTH CLASSES
Paula Hamilton is a Perinatal Educator/Facilitator at OCH and will be discussing childbirth and breastfeeding classes offered at OCH Regional Medical Center.

Dorothy Clowers is a certified doula, Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Doula, and LLL leader. She will be sharing information about free childbirth classes offered at Emerson Family School.

2PM - NATURAL PARENTING SESSIONS
Learn tips and tricks from the natural experts... MOMS! Bring your cloth diapers and baby wearing carriers. We'll have some on hand you to try out and try on. We will discuss breastfeeding tips as well as attachment parenting. Get your questions answered with moms who have been there. One lucky participant will take home some cloth diapers & inserts.

*Door prizes will be given after each session!

ABOUT HOMESTEAD DAY
Homestead Day is a day of learning from local experts as they share tips and tricks that you can implement in your home. While the Holistic Childbirth sessions take place in the upstairs living room, there will be simultaneous presentations outside for the rest of the family.

Topics under the homesteading umbrella include an herb walk, solar power, bee keeping, gardening, chickens, etc! There will be 45-minute sessions from 10AM-3PM, along with pony rides from Sunshine Stables.

The event is $5/person or included with your local membership to the Homestead Education Center. A membership is $9.95/family. Join today!

Pack a lunch to much throughout the day. Food trucks will also be on hand to grab a bite between sessions.
