Types of Fasting
There are two main types of fasting:
Intermittent Fasting - there are several types of intermittent fasting.
Time Restricted Eating - You eat your calories within a restricted time period so that your body spends plenty of time in fat-burning, regenerative mode. For example, you could do 16:8 (eating between 10am and 8pm daily).
Periodic Fasting - Every few months you restrict your caloric intake for five days in a row.
5:2 Fasting - Restrict your calories 2 out of every 5 days a week.
Water Fasting (or Mimicking Diet) - giving the digestive system a complete rest and reset by ingesting only water (or tea, broth, etc.) for a certain period of time.
